WhoooHoooo! We finally found a great house to rent and are moving into it. I am beyond excited to have our belongings back, to get into a routine as a family and to have more space. I am incredibly grateful to my parents who let us move in with them for a bit while we got on our feet, but I think everyone is ready to have their own space again.
I’m not very big yet, but big enough that I am avoiding lifting boxes just for safety reasons, not to mention its really hard to move a box when there’s a belly in the way! You don’t realize that most people carry boxes or heavy items against their torso until you’re protecting that area.
I think Matt, my sweet hubby is slightly annoyed with the bossy way I want boxes unloaded into our home. However, I know he would be even angrier if I was attempting to lift them myself so, I he’s just going to have to appease me. As we move carloads of boxes from the storage shed to the house, I tell him which boxes to bring to which room. He wants to just put them all in the garage, but I’d rather him just bring them to their end destination so I can unpack them there. I want to be useful and to be unpacking! I can’t get the boxes from the garage to where they need to go so I need him to bring the boxes to the room where the majority of the items in them, belong.
I have a really hard time not lifting the boxes myself. I’m normally so physically strong and independent. Having to ask for help with physical tasks is really challenging for me. It makes me feel whiney, lazy and pathetic. Its hard because I know that I “could” lift and move most of the boxes if I tried, it would just be straining to the pregnancy and I need to take care of my babies and body.
