Not too many body changes happening with this pregnancy just yet. I felt mildly crampy down low in my pelvis but it came and went. I experienced this last time also but much more intense than this time around. I was expecting a little bit of nausea to start creeping in later this week as I approached 6 weeks but to my delighted surprise, I felt great all week!
The light cramping that I experienced made me ever conscious that there is a very tiny human starting to form inside me. In my yoga practice, I became acutely aware of my low abdomen as I twisted and folded forward. I logically knew that I could not hurt the baby just yet from doing yoga but the mother instincts were telling me to be more careful than normal. I took it easy with jump backs and anything jarring per the ancient wisdom of Ashtanga Yoga and my prenatal yoga teacher training that I recently completed.
I finally told Matt about the pregnancy. I was trying to wait since he was in the middle of postgraduate school finals and looking for jobs. He had so much stress and pressure on his shoulders already. I think he was defiantly more excited than I. The reality of having another baby took a little warming up to for me, but he was ecstatic saying that he always wanted another and kept telling me how much he loves me. I am so thankful to have a loving, caring husband who is so supportive.
